Although I focus my marketing on weight loss, I continue to work as a generalist hypnotherapist, as I have been doing for over 10 years. I still accept clients for many other reasons than weight
loss, particularly when they are referred by my trusted referral partners.
The hypnotherapy services provided are self-improvement in nature. They are not psychological or medical services. I do not provide medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis or
treatment.
This list is not exhaustive, each session is adapted to each individual

For the following situations, people can choose hypnotherapy as a complementary approach, in addition to their medical and psychotherapeutic care.
Hypnotherapy services are not medical or psychotherapeutic services.
I do not provide medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis or treatment.
The services I provide are self-improvement services. They focus on building a healthier life, well-being, and self-development.
Hypnosis has no formal contraindication. Its use is classically avoided in psychotic persons for fear of worsening their dissociative symptoms.
As explained in my bio, I chose to focus exclusively on hypnotherapy in order to be as good as possible at what I do. I used to be a family doctor and I practiced “medical hypnotherapy”, which
means using hypnotherapy as a part of the medical treatment. As I chose not to be licensed as a practicing physician anymore, hypnotherapy won’t be part of your medical care, but a complement to
it.

After years of practical experience, I've come to realize that when there is a gap between what you consciously want and how you actually behave, it often means that an unconscious force is
pulling you in the opposite direction.
The part of your brain that moves you is the emotional part. Hence the word e-motion, like motion, moving. When an emotion is unconsciously repressed, it can push you without you realizing it. I
help you reconnect with that hidden emotional energy so it can work toward your dream, not against it. Harness the power of that emotion.
Our way of life is extremely stressful compared to what we are built for as humans. Hypnotherapy is one of the most effective tools to relax. I like to focus on long lasting relaxation, by learning how to build a healthier relationship with your fears.
Let’s make it practical with a real example. A client comes to me with anger issues, mostly because their boundaries were not respected as a child. Their way out is… to learn how to validate
their anger. Surprising? It may sound counter intuitive, but in such a case, the key is to realize that anger is meant to give them the strength to defend their boundaries. It’s not a problem to
suppress or release, it is a legitimate response. The real work is to harness its energy in a healthy way, with clarity and confidence. Recognize its validity.
After a few sessions, they can look back and say, “Yes, I feel anger, of course I feel angry! And I don't like to feel like that, let’s do something to protect my boundaries !” That emotion
stopped being a weight. It became fuel. That can then serve them in the present.
I work in partnership with business coaches. Sometimes you know what to do to improve your professional life, like following what your business coach is telling you to do, but for some reason
it’s not working. Either you are not actually taking action, or what you are doing has no impact. I focus on long lasting results by working with what drives your behavior. The answer is
sometimes obvious, sometimes unconsciously buried.
When your conscious goals and your unconscious self pull in different directions, change feels impossible, sometimes even hopeless.
I’m here to help you reconnect with that hidden emotional energy, so it starts working for you, not against you.
Self-love is a learning process. If no one ever gave it to you, it is logical that you don’t have it.
It is never too late to learn how to take care of yourself the way you deserve to be taken care of.
Whether you are a man or a woman, living a traditional or untraditional life, it is still time for you to learn to be a good mother for yourself.
Including couples, parent-child, between brothers and sisters, at work...
My approach is fundamentally different from most hypnotists. I specialize in emotional reconnection.
Clients usually have a relationship goal that they haven’t been able to reach through willpower alone.
Apart from willpower, the other part of your brain that actually moves you is your emotional brain, hence the word e-motion”.
This blockage, this disconnection between what you want and what you actually do, is a form of unconscious self-hypnosis. I help you reconnect with that sometimes hidden emotional energy so it
works for you, not against you. Learn to enter hypnosis and to get out of it.
The key is not to fight your responses, your unconscious, but to befriend it — to reconnect with the emotion that has been buried or that you are trying to repress, or that is being blamed on
you.
Fundamentally, if you come to see me, it is because you want to change something in your life… and you probably already tried by yourself, and failed.
There is a teaching in that, that most people are missing : you'd like to move in a certain direction, but you fail. The part of your brain responsible for moving you (or not) is by definition
your emotional brain, hence e-motion. “Motion” means moving.
So basically, it means we have to work on your emotions. As a hypnotherapist, I’m trained to help you identify unconscious emotions driving your life, make peace with them, find a way to
integrate them, so that they fuel your behavior instead of moving you in the wrong direction.
I know firsthand that expatriation is way more challenging than most people expect. Many give up, or keep going but suffer a lot. Finding your balance is so hard. I can be here for you.
I like to work with people who are already successful.
For example, I worked with a doctor: he was already very successful, had his own practice, a loving family, but he knew he still had problems. For example, he felt like he was drinking too much
when celebrating. He had tried to reduce it, but he kept finding himself in the same pattern.
I've seen again and again that true, lasting change happens when we work on the emotional root — not just the behavior itself.
I’m here to help you reconnect with the emotional energy behind your behavior, so it starts working for you, not against you.
In practice, we are often faced with a certain ambiguity. Take the example of a person wishing to quit smoking. This person may consult their doctor, or may not. This reason for seeking hypnotherapy may or may not be considered a medical problem. If you are in doubt, as in this example, we recommend talking to your doctor.
Apart from weight loss, I used to have two other specialties as a medical hypnotherapist: psychosomatic disorders and chronic pain (see below).
Psychosomatic disorders are physical conditions that can worsen or improve for psychological reasons. This is the case, for example, with a physical injury causing chronic pain, where the pain
worsens when you're feeling down. Or a chronic skin condition or chronic digestive condition that tends to get better when you're feeling better mentally, and worse when you're not (for example,
some chronic inflammatory diseases).
As a former family doctor my goal has always been my clients’ health and well-being. From my past experience, I know precisely what you are going through, you will hardly find a hypnotherapist
more comfortable working with you around those sensitive topics.
Together, we can work with hypnotherapy on improving your quality of life.
I worked at Reims University Hospital as a medical hypnotherapist specialized in chronic pain management.
This work required more sessions than usual, as I taught self-hypnosis to patients.
As explained above, I chose to stop being part of medical care in order to focus exclusively on hypnotherapy. Together we can work on building a healthier relationship with your body, feeling
better, and getting your well-being back, in addition to your chronic pain medical care.
Every emotion has a benefit. The benefit of some emotions, like fear, is often easier to find than others, like sadness.
For example: fear protects your survival. If you meet a bear, you won’t try to pet it, because fear is stopping you from doing something so foolish. When you have a healthy relationship with
fear, you can listen to it and use it to your advantage: you don’t pet the bear, you get to safety, and then feel relaxed again. You could even admire the bear, from a safe spot.
Maybe you can’t easily find the benefit of sadness. Like I just explained with fear, I could help you reconnect with the benefit of sadness, so it can allow you to move forward and then feel
happy again.
I work on the underlying issue. For example, the anxiety that makes quitting so difficult for some people. Most of the time, a good starting point is working on what happened the last time you quit, what made you start smoking again.
Drugs, risky behavior, sex addiction, gambling
Violence, accidents, rape, harassment, verbal or emotional abuse
The broad, non-professional definition of trauma
(Wikipedia) is when an event overwhelms your ability to cope. In other words, when something happens to you that is so horrible that you can’t process it.
The core of
the work may be to
grow your capacity to process. In other words, your self-mothering skills.
Technically
speaking, I can help
you identify where you are doing self-hypnosis (it means protecting yourself through dissociation) and how to build enough self-love to be able, one day, if you want to, to “overcome” what
happened.
Let me give
you an example of what we can do with hypnotherapy (a mother who lost her child in a bicycle accident):
A client, a mother, came to me a couple years after losing her daughter in a bicycle accident. Her
daughter had been hit by a car. She was already working with a psychotherapist, and I provided complementary support.
She was feeling very guilty and couldn’t grieve. After a few sessions she told me why she was feeling guilty: when she arrived at the scene, the firefighters were trying to resuscitate her daughter. By seeing her daughter, she immediately understood that her head injuries were so extremely severe that either she would not survive, or she would survive with extreme disabilities and unbearable suffering for the rest of her life. At that instant, she wished for her daughter not to survive rather than to endure such a life. The resuscitation failed, her daughter passed away. She carried enormous guilt since, because of that thought.
During hypnosis, she imagined meeting another mother in the same situation and judging whether this other mother was guilty. She realized that this other mother was not guilty: she was simply being a good mother who loved her child and wanted to spare her unbearable suffering. By doing so, she forgave herself, and could start to develop a healthier relationship with her daughter’s memory.
